Once the gap has been identified, the specialist will look in the organization for a cause, develop an appropriate intervention, and implement the necessary changes, evaluating and providing feedback at every step.

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT MODEL
Pershing (2006)
This model uses many of the same methods as the HPT model while taking into account the specific pressures that can cause a gap, but also the need for the HPT specialist and the organization to be in strategic alignment. The organization and the specialist being on the same page for strategy will help your interventions succeed into the future.
